Arusha, Tanzania 23rd November 2019: The East African Business Council will celebrate EAC@20 at the High-Level Business and Investment Summit on 28th -29th November 2019 at the Gran Melia Hotel in Arusha, Tanzania.
Over 500 CEOs, Industry Champions, investors from the region and beyond have confirmed to attend the Business Summit which will take stock of the achievements of the EAC regional integration process, challenges of doing business and come up with a future outlook for the region. The theme for the high level business summit isEAC@20: Private Sector-Driven Regional Integration for increased intra-EAC trade and investments.
Key topics to be discussed during the the High-Level Business Summit include:
v Trade and Investment Climate – Making East Africa a leading trade and investment destination
v Increasing intra-EAC trade
v Enhancing Public Private Collaboration in the EAC region.
v The role and participation of the EAC in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
v Use of the Digital Economy to support Business

There will be a dedicated session between CEOs and Ministers and top government officials from the EAC Partner States to discuss increasing intra-EAC trade and investments.
