Runway for Sanitary pads
Runway for Sanitary pads as the subject is aimed to fundraise sanitary towels, soap and pants for the vulnerable school going girls who cannot afford the above mentioned.
Aim of the Fundraise
-To keep school going girls in school all days of the school calendar without them missing school due to lack of sanitary pads, soap and pants to keep them clean and fresh at school.
-To create awareness about Fistula an injury that the community perceived for being a cruse
Runway for Sanitary pads will take place on the 1st of July 2017 at Home and Away from 5pm-11pm,it is a out door event.
During the fundraise there will be showcasing of designer’s out fit made by South Sudanese fashion designers such as Stella, Doris whom through the help of South Sudanese finest models will show to the public their outfits.
There will be entertainment from South Sudanese musicians such as hard life Avenue stars, Trisha C, Tutu Baibe, Comedian Wokili, United Kings and South Sudan Dancers crew; Stella Loki and M.c Izo shall host the show.
Health experts from government, international and national NGOS will be there to answer health related questions as they talk more about Fistula.
Minister of Health, Minister of General education, minister of gender and minister of youths and culture will be present.
There will be a one week period of collections from points such as Jit Mart, Phenecia, Watoto church in Nyakuron cultural center, a portion of collections shall be derlivered to Gaida girls primary school, one school in Gumbo and some will be taken to the displaced women along Airport road and the rest shall be taken to Jongole state.
The Runway for Sanitary pad is leading us to monthly drive called “keep the girl child in school campaign “that will kick off on August 2017.
All Media houses in Juba are warmly welcomed to attend the Press Conference that will take place at Home and Away on Thursday 29th of June.
